Eucharistic Renewal
St. Isidore the Farmer Parish Mission
A special time in our family of parishes where we bring a greater focus to the True Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist.

Jesus, What a gift we have in your True Presence: the assurance of your friendship, your company, your grace, your love. Increase our thirst for you as you, also, desire to draw closer to us. Amen.
What?
Eucharistic Renewal is our Family Parish Mission. Throughout this mission, there will be many events and opportunities to grow in our understanding of three truths. See these truths below.
Why?
There is a need to reinforce the gift God gave to His Church in the Eucharist and its celebration. We call attention to the Eucharist because the Eucharist is Jesus - and without Jesus there is no Church. "The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life." (Catechism)
When?
Eucharistic Renewal Mission began on September 7, Carlo Day. This Mission will continue through the next few months with closing ceremonies on Nov. 23, Christ the King.
Plug In
The Mass unites us to Jesus's act of redemption.
Truth #1
When we come to Mass, we can think so much about what we are doing or supposed to be doing that we forget to consider what God is doing. If that happens, then we have missed the point entirely. Jesus offered himself on the Cross once for all and through his love and obedience won for us the forgiveness of sins. We need to “plug in” to what God has done. Jesus left us a memorial of his death and resurrection, in order that we might receive the benefits of his redemption. The Mass is the act that makes the grace of Jesus’s sacrificial death present to us.
Labors and Sorrows
In the liturgy, we serve God - What do you bring to offer?
Truth #2
The Letter to the Hebrews can give us a deeper understanding of the Mass. As above, Jesus offered himself to God on the Cross once for all. The Letter to the Hebrews reveals that Jesus now stands before God in heaven interceding for us. In the words of Scripture, “Every high priest is taken from among men and made their representative before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.” When we serve God through the week - acts of love, acts of penance, works of mercy - we can then unite them to Jesus’s sacrifice. Left to themselves, the acts have little value. But united to Jesus’s offering, they take on infinite value. The Mass and, in particular the offertory at Mass, allows us to unite our labors and sorrows to Jesus’s work of redemption.
Give Glory
Seek first the Kingdom of God: make worship of God a priority.
Truth #3
Everyone gets 24 hours each day, and each must decide how to use the time he is given. Give glory to God by joining the worship of the angels gathered around Jesus on the throne - or in our case, the altar. For some people Mass is what grounds them and centers them for the rest of the week. For my part, I could not imagine life apart from the God-made-flesh, Jesus, whom I love.

DRAW CLOSER TO HIS PRESENCE
During our parish mission of Eucharist Renewal, we will be sharing Fr. Luke Spannagel's blog, a "Step-By-Step" walk through the Mass. While our focus will be on the Liturgy of the Eucharist, you are encouraged to explore the blog posts from the beginning. As you read and reflect, keep in mind the three truths Fr. Rob expressed in his Eucharistic Renewal letter to parishioners:
1. The Mass unites us to Jesus’ act of redemption.
2. In the liturgy, we serve God — What do you bring to offer?
3. Seek first the Kingdom of God: make the worship of God a priority.
Join us for Holy Hour!!!
During this time of Eucharistic Renewal, we will pray the 14 Stations of the Eucharist to draw us closer to the Eucharist. In addition, the 14 Stations of the Eucharist will be prayed before every Mass. For a copy of the 14 Stations of the Eucharist, click here.
